Our work in Mauritius is inspired by the principles and legacy of the International Blue Crescent (IBC). Founded in Turkey in 2000, IBC has worked for over two decades to alleviate suffering worldwide and holds Special Consultative Status with the UN Economic and Social Council. We are proud to carry forward this spirit of compassion in our local community.

Shaped by decades of experience within communities in Mauritius and other neighbouring Islands in the Indian Ocean, we deliver emergency relief and disaster resilience, empower communities through education, health, and development; as well as protect children's rights and combating violence.

Emergency relief and disaster resilience

We stand against all forms of violence, advocate for child protection and gender issues, and provide multi-sectoral assistance to displaced and vulnerable communities.
